1. Use a pair of tweezers and grab the tick as close to the skin as possible.
2. Pull the tick straight up. It is important to not wiggle it around, as the mouth could still stay lodged in the skin.
3. Once the tick is removed, clean the bite area thoroughly with soap and water.
